Q: How do you take care of a bottle that shows signs of seepage? —Lawrence, Hong Kong
A: The only tool you can use to address seepage is a corkscrew. Seepage—sticky wine on the outside of a sealed bottle of wine—indicates that at some point the wine expanded and pushed past the cork, probably due to excessive heat. Your wine might be fine, or it might taste terrible. The only way to know for certain is to open the bottle and taste it.
