Washington has been on a roll lately, with one great vintage after another, and the newly released 2008s look to continue that trend. Vintners experienced a cool summer in 2008, but warm weather arrived in autumn and helped ripen the grapes. While wines from the vintage may not be as consistent as the outstanding 2007s, due to the compressed season, fans of the state’s balanced reds can still find plenty of options.
