There are more than 100 American Viticultural Areas, or AVAs, in California. While most people have heard of Napa and Sonoma, there are many other names to look for on wine labels, including sub-AVAs located within better-known regions. Here we take you on a tour of some recent recommended wines that hail from places whose names might not sound familiar to you.
