The whites of the Mâconnais, Burgundy’s “sunny south,” offer plenty of charm, from straightforward, easy-drinking fruity styles, to more complex, precise, terroir-driven versions with substance and mineral essence. They also offer great value compared to their cousins from the glamour villages of the Côte d’Or, such as Chassagne, Puligny and Meursault.
