Q: If your cholesterol and blood sugar levels are a little high, is it OK to drink wine?

A: Your doctor should be able to make an individualized recommendation for you based on your health history and any medications you might be taking, but in general, studies have shown that regular moderate consumption of wine has been linked to improved heart health and a lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
