Wine storage is not an issue for most wine-lovers, since the vast majority of bottles are opened within a couple days of purchase.

The only caveat is to avoid excessive heat and cold. Don't display the bottle on a sunny windowsill and don't leave it in your car on hot or freezing-cold days. If you do, the cork can get pushed out of the bottle because air in the bottle expands with heat and wine expands as it freezes.
