I have to say that the restaurant is elegant, the wine list is impressive, but also expensive. You will barely find bottles of less than US$70. The food... EXCELLENT. It is the best italian restaurant I have ever been to. I had some quail-filled ravioli that, as a lover of italian food, I have looked for in other restaurants, but they just don´t have it. I can´t wait to go again!! If you go to Vegas, this restaurant is a MUST

We recently stayed at the Venetian (Sept 07) and were excited to try Valentino after reading some rave reviews - we were disappointed. Yes, the wine list is impressive. But the sommelier was incredibly pretentious, and made us feel as if we couldn't possibly navigate the list ourselves. Furthermore - he rushed our selection. When we told him what we were having for an entree (to better enable a pairing), he interpreted that as an order & quickly whisked away the menu! (we never did get to order an appetizer). Both the meal and the decor were solid, but nothing spectacular. If you're staying at the Venetian, go to Mario Batale's B&B instead. Better food, equally impressive Italian wine, and far less self-important attitude.
