The filter allows you to locate specific wines in any individual Personal Wine List or across your Cellar View. You can more easily update your personal notes or cellar data for wines this way, instead of having to browse through a list with many entries.

You can filter by the winery name or any term that appears in the wine name (excluding vintage), such as variety, appellation, vineyard, brand name or other designation (eg. Reserve, or Brut, or Kabinett). For example, you could filter your shopping list to show all varietally-labeled Cabernet Sauvignons by entering "Cabernet" in the filter field. However, this will not turn up blends that don't include the word "Cabernet" in the wine name. Likewise, you could filter to show only Châteauneuf-du-Pape" wines, but you could not find those by entering the filter term "Rhône," as that does not appear in the name of those wines.
