
Lake Tahoe is known for its crystalline blue water and mountains that seem to reach the sky. It's also known for snow—lots of snow—and for having some of the best skiing in the United States. The south shore, with its large casinos, offers a taste of Vegas, but on the quieter north shore, the appetites are different.
