New York restaurateur and wine merchant Joseph Bastianich, his mother, Lidia Bastianich, who founded the Grand Award—winning Felidia restaurant, and his partner, celebrity chef Mario Batali of Babbo, have purchased about 98 acres of vineyard property in the southern Tuscan area of Maremma, near the Mediterranean coast.
