Napa's Grape Gumshoe

Steve Lagier noticed it first—something odd about the vines in one row of a newly planted Syrah vineyard. He decided to seek an expert opinion. He asked his wife, Carole Meredith, to look at the suspect vines, which lacked viable grapes due to their youth.
