Recently I had what, for me, was the rarest of experiences: I was transported by the taste of a Cabernet. Now, this is extremely rare on two counts. Not many wines are capable of doing it. And, for me in particular, I'm hard-pressed to recall the last time it happened with a Cabernet Sauvignon.
