Alsace celebrates its best harvest in 10 years
Alsace closed out the millennium with its finest vintage since the blockbuster 1990 harvest. The 2000 wines offer quality across the board, from the basic appellations to the grands crus. To sweeten the deal, warm, sunny days in early autumn provided ideal conditions for the late-harvest wines—the vendanges tardives and sélections de grains nobles.
