Portland Auction Flirts With Million Dollar Mark

The "18th Annual Classic Wines Auction" raised approximately $900,000 on March 9 for Metropolitan Family Service, a Portland nonprofit which provides help to local children, families and the disabled. "We took a pretty substantial hit this year in terms of money," said auction director Judy Anderson.
