Recently, a friend of mine, an ingrate to whom I give free wine advice, had the crust to say that I had "obsessive tendencies." He was tired, he said, of hunting down limited-production, single-vineyard wines from obscure Burgundy producers, or Piedmontese wines with strange dialect names.
