
Bordeaux has embarked on an ambitious reclassification of its crus bourgeois, which include more than 470 châteaus from the Médoc that will be categorized in a new pecking order. The project, which got under way in late January, is almost certain to open a can of worms by upsetting proprietors whose estates fail to make the desired category.
