Mondavis Donate $35 Million to UC Davis For Wine and Food Center

Issue: November 15, 2001

Adding to the substantial contributions that they have already made to California's wine industry, Robert Mondavi and his wife, Margrit, have given $35 million to the University of California, Davis. The gift—the largest private donation ever made to the university—will be used to establish the Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science and to complete a new performing arts center.
