For most consumers, Sauvignon Blanc is California's "other white wine," little more than an afterthought to perennially popular Chardonnay, with its oaky, lush, high-decibel flavors. But that shouldn't discourage wine lovers, because while Sauvignon Blanc usually performs at a lower volume, the tune can be every bit as entertaining.
