But it's hard to argue with the success of Tantara Winery in Santa Barbara County, especially after tasting their delicious 1999 Arroyo Grande Valley Talley Vineyard Chardonnay (91 points, $28, 70 cases) made by partners Bill Cates, 61, and Jeffrey Fink, 48.
