June 30, 2001 Of Grapes and Greasepaint By Julian Curry As an actor and a wine nut, I've always relished opportunities to combine the two. For example, in an episode of the TV series Rumpole of the Bailey, my character Claude Erskine-Brown finds himself in a blissfully silly scene, criticizing a wine's "nose" to his friend Horace Rumpole, who misunderstands and indignantly defends his own nose.
