
April 30th, 2001 Grapevine Australian wine-giant Southcorp confirmed in late February that it is merging with Rosemount Estates, the second best-selling Australian brand in the United States. Southcorp is acquiring Hunter Valleybased Rosemount for about $778 million and combining it with its wine division, which includes Penfolds and Lindemans.
