January 31st, 2001 Burgundy Prices Soar as Collectors Stampede Key Auction International wine collectors wreaked havoc on Burgundy's venerable Hospices de Beaune charity auction in November. Buyers' enthusiasm for the 2000 wines of the Domaine de Hospices de Beaune upped prices far beyond expectations, despite merchants' warnings that they were overpaying.
