January 31st, 2001 Staub Hosts Ninth Annual Benefit Although Rusty Staub is no longer in professional baseball, heÕs a key player in other areasÑbenefiting youth and fighting hunger. On Oct. 14, Staub hosted his ninth annual wine auction and dinner at ManhattanÕs Astra Restaurant, where 104 wine lovers raised more than $550,000Ñ$69,000 more than last yearÑfor the Rusty Staub Foundation.
