November 30th, 2000 Three Bordeaux Châteaus Forced to Declassify This Year's Wines French authorities are forcing three respected Bordeaux estates to declassify their 2000 vintage wines after their winemakers used plastic sheeting to protect parts of their vineyards from rain during this year's harvest.
