September 15th, 2000 Scientists Discover Why Resveratrol in Wine May Help Prevent Cancer Two molecular biologists at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, reported that they have uncovered evidence showing that resveratrol, a substance found in wine, can control a genetic switch that may help in cancer prevention and treatment.
