August 31st, 2000 Napa Fire Destroys $36 Million in Rare Wine About 84,000 cases of boutique wines stored at Frank-Rombauer Cellars perish Fire swept through a two-story wine warehouse at Frank-Rombauer Cellars in Napa Valley early on June 15, destroying an estimated $36 million worth of rare and expensive wine.
