April 30th, 2000 Grapevine Gil Nickel, owner of Far Niente Winery in Napa Valley, will release six single-vineyard wines from the 1997 vintage under a new label this year. Nickel & Nickel in Oakville, a partnership with his son Jeremy, may eventually produce as many as 20 single-vineyard bottlings, focusing on Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Zinfandel.
