
January 31st 2000 Spain's Vega Sicilia Recalls "Corky" 1994 Valbuena Bodegas Vega Sicilia, maker of some of Spain's most prestigious wines, recently issued a recall of its Valbuena 5. Reserva 1994 (94 points, $70) after discovering a problem with trichloroanisole taint, which causes "corkiness" in wines.
