January 31st 2000 Burgundy Prices Stay High at 1999 Hospices Auction Although many Burgundy négociants expected prices for 1999 wines to drop substantially due to the extraordinarily large harvest, bidders at the venerable Hospices de Beaune charity auction pushed prices nearly as high as the record levels of 1998.
