
December 31st, 1999 A Lifetime Of Wine By Ben Merrill My wife, Mardee, and I were sitting on our porch enjoying a glass of wine the other evening when she asked the intriguing yet proverbial question: "If you were stranded on a deserted island and could drink only one wine for the rest of your life, what would it be?" I'm turning 40 this year, so I translated her question to mean, "What kind of wine would you like for your birthday?" But before I could say, "Rosemount," a strange thing happened -- my entire life's wine experience passed before my eyes.
