October 31, 1999 Grapevine Robert Mondavi has released a high-end Rhône-style blend, called Io ("EYE-oh"), from California's Santa Barbara County. The wine is made by Byron Vineyards & Winery's Ken Brown, who has been experimenting with Rhône varietals in the area since 1981.
