October 15, 1999 A Very Good Year By Pauline Adema T wo years ago I came across an unopened bottle of Pol Roger Special 1934 collecting dust in the cellar of my grandmother's house in Buffalo, N.Y. It was cozily lying on the top shelf of a pantry closet, next to similarly dusty and long-forgotten canned goods.
