
May 31, 1999 Chablis and Mâcon outshine the Côte d'Or White Burgundy has been on a roll. In both 1995 and '96, the region was like one large treasure chest filled with scores of great Chardonnays. The early hype on '97 had this vintage pegged at the same high quality level of the two preceding years.
