May 31, 1999 LVMH Sells Simi to Canandaigua for $55 Million Canandaigua Wine Co., the New York beverage giant, has purchased historic Simi Winery of California's Sonoma County for $55 million, an acquisition that will give Canandaigua a high-profile, ultrapremium winery to add to its lineup.
