Meltzer ACKER MERRALL & CONDIT New York SALE DATE Sept. 19 SALE TOTAL $1.4 million (including the 15 percent buyer's premium) NUMBER OF LOTS 1,500 PERCENT SOLD 95 HIGHLIGHTS A lot containing 12 imperials of La Jota Cabernet Sauvignon from the 1982 through 1993 vintages sold for $10,350; a case of Château Cheval-Blanc 1982 fetched $6,800, 21 percent above the second-quarter 1998 Wine Spectator Auction Index average; and a case of Château Mouton-Rothschild 1995 sold for $3,680, up 40 percent.
