June 15, 1998 Food for Thought For the Napa traveler of the future, Robert Mondavi plans an educational center devoted to the history of wine, food and art By Elizabeth Eilender Never one to shy away from a new challenge, California winemaker Robert Mondavi, 85, is heading up plans to build a $70 million American Center for Wine, Food and the Arts, a 75,000-square-foot, two-story education complex surrounded by gardens and scheduled to open in Napa Valley in 2001.
