May 15, 1998 California Loses Two Wine Pioneers Jack Davies, Cofounder of Schramsberg Vineyards Jack Davies, who with his wife Jamie founded Napa Valley's Schramsberg Vineyards in 1965, died March 10 after a yearlong struggle with neuromuscular disease.
