May 15, 1998 Korbel's Gary Heck Takes Sole Ownership of Kenwood Vineyards Gary Heck is now the sole owner of Kenwood Vineyards in Sonoma Valley. In mid-March, he announced he had bought out the two last remaining partners at Kenwood in a deal worth $50 million.
