May 15, 1998 LATEST AUCTION RESULTS CHRISTIE'S London SALE DATE March 5 GROSS $775,000 (including the 10 percent buyer's premium) NUMBER OF LOTS 704 PERCENT SOLD 89 HIGHLIGHTS Among the classics, a case of the benchmark Château Cheval-Blanc 1947 commanded $37,884, 2 percent below the Wine Spectator Fourth Quarter 1997 Auction Index average, and a single bottle of Château d'Yquem 1864 sold for $5,412, down 38 percent.
