March 31, 1998 Grapevine David Ramey is leaving Napa Valley's Dominus Estate after a two-year stint that paired the renowned California winemaker with Dominus Estate's French owner, Christian Moueix. Ramey moves to the newly renamed Rudd Estate--formerly Girard Winery, also in Napa Valley--where he will oversee vineyard and winemaking operations.
