February 28, 1998 Christie's to Kick Off First Los Angeles Auction Christie's new West Coast wine department will hold its first auction in Los Angeles on Feb. 21. "I have a sale on my hands that's the envy of my colleagues in New York," said auctioneer Ursula Hermacinski.
