
March 31, 1997 Large Burgundy Négociant to Ship First Wines to United States Encouraged by the success of French varietal wines, the U.S.-based Brown-Forman wine group and Burgundy négociant Picard Père & Fils have formed an alliance to distribute oak-aged Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Syrah from southern France's Languedoc region in America.
