March 31, 1997 Master of Sherry Dies José Ignacio Domecq Gonzalez, longtime leader of one of Spain's most important producers of wine and spirits, died Jan. 15 in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, of cancer, according to his eldest son, José Ignacio Jr.
