
February 28, 1997 Lur-Saluces Challenges LVMH Deal for Yquem The battle is on for Château d'Yquem, the great Bordeaux sweet-wine estate. Yquem's co-owner and longtime director, Count Alexandre de Lur-Saluces, said he had filed a lawsuit asking a French court to cancel a deal that makes luxury-goods company LVMH Moët-Hennessy Louis Vuitton a majority owner in the legendary Sauternes winery.
