January 31, 1997 1996 Yearbook: Red Burgundy The 1994 vintage is good, but not great; a year for bargain hunters By Per-Henrik Mansson The 1994 vintage, now on the market, produced many light and many coarse red Burgundies that are of lesser quality than either the concentrated, racy reds from the outstanding 1993 vintage or the promising 1995s, still aging in barrels and scheduled for release in the fall.
