November 15, 1996 Heavy Hitters Go to Bat for Harvest Auction For the second year in a row, Zimbabwe took Los Angeles by storm, by way of Pomona. This cross-cultural coup came about at the third annual Harvest Auction, a charity wine, food and travel event that benefits the School of Hotel and Restaurant Management at California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, Calif.
