November 15, 1996 Neighbors Help Carmenet Find Grapes After Fire In a dramatic gesture of cooperation, a group of Sonoma County wineries has helped secure nearly 170 tons--or about 10,000 cases worth--of grapes for Carmenet Winery, which bore the brunt of a July 31 brush fire that destroyed 45 of its 67 acres of Sonoma Valley grapes.
