
March 31, 1996 Michele Chiarlo Buys Prime Vineyards in Barbera Up-and-coming Piedmont vintner Michele Chiarlo has paid about $1.3 million for 50 acres of top Barbera vines, after eyeing the property in the heart of the Barbera d'Asti appellation for more than seven years.
