June 30, 1995 New Danish Study Shows Big Health Benefits in Wine Drinking The second major medical study to come out of Denmark in little more than a year that investigated the health benefits of alcohol consumption has found that wine drinkers have significantly lower mortality rates than either beer or spirits drinkers.
