May 31, 1995 Angelo Gaja Buys More Prime Barolo Land Italian vintner Angelo Gaja has enlarged his holdings in the Piedmont region by buying 23 acres of some of the finest vineyard land in Barolo. The deal, concluded in January, makes Gaja the owner of the Marengo-Marenda winery and its prestigious Cerequio vineyard.
